Great Coaches Make Olympic and Paralympic Dreams Come True

We believe in the importance of coaches and the tremendous role they play in the success of our athletes. That's why we are a corporate sponsor of the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC). The CAC is recognized as a world leader in the development of coach education and training, is committed to serving the needs of Canada's coaches and to strengthening Canada's sport system. Through its programs, the CAC provides coaches with the necessary foundation of skills, knowledge, and attitudes to foster excellence in sport.

We recognize Canadian coaches at a special Coaches' Recognition Evening during the Olympic Games in the host city.
The annual Petro-Canada Sports Leadership sportif is the largest gathering of sport educators and coaches in North America.
In partnership with the CAC, we recognize coaches of medal winning athletes with the Coaching Excellence Awards. Recipients of these awards are honoured at the annual Sport Leadership/Sportif Awards Dinner.

This year's Sports Leadership Sportif conference will be held in Calgary, AB, Nov. 7 to 9, 2013.
