After losing four fingers from her left hand in 2016, Natalie Wilkie met Robin McKeever at a para development camp in Canmore, AB and they’ve been training together ever since. At 17, she debuted at the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games as Canada’s youngest athlete in PyeongChang; bringing home a gold, silver and bronze. Her success continued at the 2019 World Para Nordic Skiing Championships with silver medals in the long distance cross country races and the mixed team relay.
While the road to the podium may be paved with a multitude of challenges and setbacks, Robin knows that if Natalie can continue to push beyond what she think she’s capable of – the sky’s the limit on how far she’ll go.
“My goal for Natalie is to go beyond what her belief of herself is.”
