Great coaches

After being diagnosed with cancer shortly after he won a silver medal in PyeongChang, Max  Parrot was determined to recover in time to compete at the X Games two months after a final body scan had determined  he was in remission. With the help and support of his conditioning coach, Yves Mailhot (who he’s known since  he was 14 years old), Max not only competed in the X Games, but took home his sixth gold medal.

After pre-qualifying  for the 2022 Beijing Winter Games, Max is eager to make his return to the Olympics and, hopefully, the podium.

“The biggest win of his life was beating the cancer, so to see him win gold  at the X Games after that was such a special moment.”
